Privacy notice

This notice explains what we do with the personal information you give us when you contact us about selling a property. We have written it in plain English rather than legal language, because it is meant to be read.
Who we are
OPM Residential Limited is the data controller for the information described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 13852294, with a registered office at [REGISTERED ADDRESS].
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference [ICO NO].

What we collect
When you complete the enquiry form or contact us directly, we collect:
- Your name, if you give it
- Your phone number and email address
- The address of the property and the number of flats
- Anything else you choose to tell us about the building, the tenancies or your circumstances
If a sale progresses, we will also hold information from the legal pack — tenancy agreements, certificates, title documents — some of which may name other people, such as your tenants.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We do not add you to a marketing list. Contacting us about your property does not sign you up to anything. We will not send you newsletters, and if you tell us the answer is no, we will not contact you again about it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to other buyers, sourcers or agents.
If a purchase progresses, we will need to share relevant details with:
- Our solicitors, and yours
- Our mortgage broker and lender, where funding is involved
- Surveyors and valuers instructed on the building
- Our accountants, for tax and reporting
We also use service providers who handle information on our behalf, including our website host and email provider. They act on our instructions and cannot use your information for their own purposes.
We may disclose information where the law requires it — for example to HMRC, a court, or a regulator.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that go nowhere: deleted within 12 months, unless you ask us to keep in touch about a future sale.
- Enquiries where you tell us not to contact you again: we keep only the minimum needed to honour that — normally your name and contact details on a suppression list, so we do not approach you by mistake.
- Completed purchases: kept for at least 6 years after completion for tax, legal and anti-money-laundering purposes, and longer where the title or building records require it.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Nothing is stored on your device and we do not track you across other sites.
The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. If you would rather avoid that, most browsers and privacy extensions allow you to block it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Have inaccurate information corrected
- Ask us to delete your information, where we have no continuing reason to keep it
- Ask us to restrict how we use it
- Object to us using it on the basis of legitimate interests
- Ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation in a portable format

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first — we would rather put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your information we will update this page and the date at the top. Where the change is significant and we hold your contact details, we will tell you directly.
